Last week, Rebecca and Mrs Stevens took a group of children to visit Longcliffe Nursing Home. On arrival they sang some of the Christmas songs they have been learning, which the residents enjoyed joining in with. They followed this with some festive pictures which the children completed with the help of some of some of the residents. Many of the children are comfortable in this environment, they were confident enough to chat to the residents and they chose to give the pictures as gifts to them. After a short break for juice and a biscuit they finished with a short quiz which Longcliffe had compiled. The children joined in with enthusiasm, calling out the answers to the Christmas related questions. We took some Christmas sweets for the residents and the children were pleased to bring a party bag back for each of the children.
